Rural Cinema - The Boys in the Boat

4th September 2024 7:00 pm

As the DVD release date of The Boys in the Boat has been updated to show that 25th June is ‘USA only’ and the UK has been reverted to ‘TBA’, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this film until September. We did not want to leave it until the last minute and then disappoint.

We normally have a 2-month break in August and September, but this year we will make it July and August.

Some of this was filmed at Cleveland Lakes ... and a few spotted George Clooney in the local area!

Directed by Geoge Clooney and starring Joel Edgerton, Callum Turned, Peter Guiness and many others

A 1930s-set story centered on the University of Washington's rowing team, from their Depression-era beginnings to winning gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
