WILTSHIRE OPEN SPACE STUDY SURVEY

This is your chance to help shape the future open space facilities in Wiltshire. Please respond thinking about your household as a whole. The survey should take you about 5-10 minutes to complete.

You can have your say by returning the filled out survey via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before 31st of March 2020, or by sending a hard copy to your parish Clerk before the deadline specified by them.

Closure Coxs Hill, High Rd

Advance warning of the closure of Cox's Hill, and High Road, from the 18th-22nd Feb 2020 in the interests of public safety.

Wiltshire Council
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Temporary Closure of: High Road (Part) and Cox’s Hill, Ashton Keynes (Ref: TTRO 6367)
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
High Road (Part), Ashton Keynes; from its junction with Gosditch to its junction with Cox’s Hill;
Cox’s Hill, Ashton Keynes; from its junction with High Road to its junction with B4696 North End.
To enable: Openreach to carry out cabling works.

Alternative route: via B4696 – Gosditch and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 18 February 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 22 February 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

Closure Common Hill 11th Dec

Advance warning of the temporary closure of B4040, Cricklade, from the 11th Dec for 2 days in the interests of public safety.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Temporary Closure of: B4040 (Part) Common Hill, Cricklade (Ref: TTRO 6303)
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
B4040 (Part) Common Hill, Cricklade; from its junction with The Fiddle to its junction with Chelworth Road.
To enable: Eurovia to carry out carriageway resurfacing, road marking adjustment of ironworks and surface dressing.


Alternative route: via B4040 (unaffected length) – B4696 - A419 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.


This Order will come into operation on 11 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 until 13 December 2019. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

Closure High Road 27th Aug

Advance warning of the closure of the C2 High Road, Ashton Keynes, from the 27th Aug 2019 for 3 weeks at the request of Utilities Direct.

Temporary Closure of: C2 High Road (Part), Ashton Keynes (Ref: TTRO 6128)
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
C2 High Road (Part), Ashton keynes; from its junction with Happy Land for a distance of approximately 265m in a south easterly direction.
To enable: Utilities Direct to lay a reinforcement water main and associated works.

Alternative route: via High Road (unaffected length) – B4696 – B4040 – Waterhay – Happy Land and vice versa..

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 27 August 2019 and the closure will be required until 17 September 2019. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

Closure High Road 12th Aug

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Urgent Closure of: C2 High Road (Part), Ashton Keynes.

This closure notice replaces the previous closure notice for the 27th Aug to 17th Sep 2019.


THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on 12 August, the following length of road shall be closed to all traffic in the interests of public safety to enable Utilities Direct to carry out works to reinforce a water main and associated maintenance works.
High Road, Ashton Keynes; from its junction with The Derry for a distance of approximately 265 meters in a south easterly direction
Alternative route: via Happy Land – Waterhay – Malmesbury Road –– Ashton Road – High Road (unaffected) and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs and access will be maintained for residents throughout the works period.
These works will commence on 12 August and are anticipated to be required for 21 days. This Notice will have a maximum duration of 21 days.
